As per earlier updates, India is set to face Brazil, Cape Verde and New Zealand during the international break in the coming months. Now, apart from these, India is also set to face Panama, which participated in the World Cup.
This match will be played during the September-October international break. Offer letters in this regard have been signed between AIFF and Panama.
The most likely date is September 26 or 27. However, the venue for the match has not been decided.
The India-Brazil match is scheduled for October 3. This match will be played in Kolkata. After that, they will play two matches against New Zealand in November. The match will be played in Auckland on November 12 and in Christchurch on November 15.
The match with Cape Verde has been agreed upon but has not been scheduled. In the next few months, India will face four countries that played in the 2026 World Cup.
Panama is currently ranked 44th in the FIFA rankings. Panama was eliminated in the group stage of the 2026 World Cup. Panama was drawn in a strong group that included England, Croatia and Ghana. Therefore, Panama was eliminated without being able to score a single point.
