Milan are preparing for the 2026-27 season with a four-match pre-season programme that takes the Serie A champions from Germany to Hong Kong and Australia.
Cristian Chivu begins his first full campaign in charge after leading the Nerazzurri to the Serie A title last season. Inter’s preparations started with a training camp in Donaueschingen, Germany, where the squad trained from 16 to 25 July before embarking on their summer tour.
Unlike several Premier League clubs, Inter have not scheduled any behind-the-closed-doors friendlies this summer. Instead, the club have opted for four public fixtures, beginning with a trip to Germany before travelling to Asia and Australia to face three heavyweight opponents.
The Nerazzurri’s first outing comes against Karlsruher SC on 26 July, marking the first-ever meeting between the two clubs. Chivu’s side then head to Hong Kong to take on Manchester City before finishing their overseas tour in Perth with high-profile clashes against AC Milan and Juventus.
The Australian leg of the tour features two of European football’s biggest rivalries. Inter will first contest the Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan at Optus Stadium before renewing their long-standing rivalry with Juventus three days later at the same venue. Those fixtures should provide Chivu with a stern examination before competitive football returns later in August.

8 August: Juventus vs Inter Milan – Optus Stadium, Perth (1pm CEST)
Inter’s schedule is shorter than that of many European rivals but offers a series of demanding tests against domestic and continental opposition. Meetings with Manchester City, AC Milan and Juventus should give Chivu a clear indication of his squad’s readiness before the defence of the Serie A title begins.
