Calafiori Fires Ten-Man Arsenal to Victory at Wolves

Arsenal secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers despite playing with 10 men for most of the match. Riccardo Calafiori’s second-half strike proved decisive, ensuring the Gunners kept pace with Premier League leaders Liverpool.

The match was marred by controversy when 18-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelly was shown a straight red card in the first half for denying a goalscoring opportunity. The decision, which made Lewis-Skelly the third youngest player to be sent off in Premier League history, left Arsenal facing an uphill battle.

However, the Gunners showed resilience and determination, with Calafiori coming off the bench to score the winning goal with a fine finish in the 74th minute. Wolves were also reduced to 10 men when Joao Gomes received a second yellow card, but it did little to change the course of the match.

This victory keeps Arsenal six points behind Liverpool, who beat Ipswich 4-1 earlier in the day. Wolves, meanwhile, remain in 17th place and face a battle to avoid relegation.
