Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is all about the choices and how those choices lead you through a game week. This article guides you through a set of players who are probable to fetch your differentials and players with a lower price tag and high performance rate.
Here is a list of Midfielders who have a higher chance creation, creativity and form. Some players are from the teams that finished in the top six and the other can act as differentials in your team. I really hope this can help managers in their dilemma in their choice of cheap players.
Aston Villa
John Mcginn is the 24-year-old midfielder who had gained interest and praise from many managers especially Sir Alex Ferguson. His Premier League debut is due this season and is expected to shine as a midfielder who could fetch many points. He has netted 9 goals and provided 12 assists out of which 7 goals and 9 assists were in the Championship with 40 shots inside the penalty area. He is priced at 5.5 million and is a definite go-to Aston Villa player.
Bournemouth
Ryan Fraser has risen in value from 5.5 million to 7.5 million with 181 points from 26 appearances, 7 goals and 14 assists. He has become a fantasy manager’s favourite pick among midfielders and is of the highly chosen midfielders. He’s a cheaper pick compared to other premium wingers who are rated at a much greater price. His performances against the non-top 6 clubs points all managers to him as an early season pick. The first three game weeks have Manchester City as a difficult fixture in the third and thus Fraser is a definite Bournemouth pick.
The 22 year Attacking Midfielder David Brooks is another choice from Bournemouth with an even lesser price tag of 6.5 million. He can be a differential to many managers as Fraser is picked over Brooks. Unfortunately, Brooks is out with an ankle injury and is expected back by the end of October. He scored 7 goals and created 5 assists in the 2018/19 campaign.
Brighton
Pascal GroB is a player that would benefit the managers this season with the arrival of VAR (Video Assistant Referee). He is the set-piece taker of the team and can gain points coming in that direction. A similar player in this line is Luka Milivojevic who is also known for his set-piece prowess but comes with a bigger price tag of 7 million. The Crystal Palace midfielder has a much more fixture difficulty rate compared to GroB.
An attacking midfielder and as a leader in the midfield GroB creates several chances and attracts several bonus points. He is players that is sought by several managers and is a frequently chosen player from Brighton.
Fixture Difficulty Rate is favourable for Brighton for the first three game weeks and GroB is a cheaper choice at 6.5 million.
Leicester City
Youri Tielemans is the 22-year midfielder who has attracted many FPL managers. With 3 goals and 4 assists in the last season with a creative box to box performance he has earned his position in the team. With Perez alongside the duo would boost the attacking play of Leicester.
The former Newcastle player has scored 12 goals in the last season. Rated at 6.5 million, the choice between the two players has been a tough task for the managers. Tielemans is highly popularized through several FPL blogs as a great differential but Perez would be my choice of midfielder from Leicester given his past performance and experience.
Manchester United
Andreas Pereira has been a choice for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the pre-season matches and was highly praised for his performances. With Herrera out to Paris-Saint German and no proper signing in the midfield Pereira is likely to be selected to support Pogba at the center.
He can shoot with both feet, and has accomplished himself with set-pieces and as an inside forward he has contributed to United’s crucial encounters in the past season especially with PSG during the Champions League. Pereira would be a really good substitute choice at 5 milion.
Southampton
James Ward-Prowse and Nathan Redmond are the tough choices for managers with respect to Southampton. Their Fixture Difficulty Rate for the first 10 game weeks shows 4 fixtures with high difficulty. Redmond has gained 137 points by netting 6 goals and providing 5 assists in 23 appearances.
His position was changed from a winger to a forward by their new manager and the player started to function more efficiently. He is rated at 6.5 million and has proved to be good choice for managers. As a midfielder he gains points through the Bonus Point System, clean sheets and more points for scoring a goal than a regular forward.
James Ward-Prowse is known for his finesse in set-pieces. Along with Redmond he has created the most number of chances for Southampton in the second half of the previous season. With VAR in place, the 2019/20 season can fetch bonus points and goal scoring opportunities because Ward-Prowse takes the charge of Southampton’s set-pieces. With only 6 million Ward-Prowse can turn out to be a great differential even though Redmond is the viable and safe option from Southampton.
Watford
Abdoulaye Doucoure and Roberto Pereyra are the next two midfielders in line who paved the way in determining Watford’s success rate during last season. Doucoure scored 5 goals and provided 6 assists while Pereyra has 6 goals and 1 assist to his name. Pereyra has been productive in every home match. I would recommend Pereyra over Doucoure because of his higher goal threat and productivity in the last season.
Wolves
Ruben Neves is an under-rated midfielder and is just priced at 5.5 million. He had played a major role in their promotion from Championship to the Premier League tier 1. One of the best dead ballers in the previous season he also provided 3 assists and scored 4 goals. He’s a cheap gamble and can secure much more points than his contemporaries. He can be a choice of substitute and a wolves go-to option.
