The game started with intensity. Akash scored the opener in the early minutes of the game, so DHFC got exactly what they were looking for. Akash had a chance soon after, only to be thwarted by a quality save. DHFC were controlling the majority of the attacking plays while Mohammedan SC were just itching away every chance they had on the DHFC’s solid defence.

Overall, through the first half, DHFC were well in control of the corners and had a few other good chances on target, while MSC hung in there with great saves and stops from their goalie, Shuvojit.
In the second half, there were more quality chances for DHFC, but they still could not find a second goal. Mohammedan’s Rubel was close on a quick strike that hit the post. Throughout the second half, MSC were pushing for a goal, and DHFC’s goalie Rohan made a great save on a late free kick attempt. Both head cages had a quality game; however, it was Akash’s goal that really made the difference. Diamond Harbour FC will walk away with a hard-fought 1–0 victory in horrid summertime conditions.
