Late Correa Strike Gives Atletico Victory Over PSG

Paris St-Germain’s Champions League struggles continued as Angel Correa ‘s stoppage-time goal gave Atletico Madrid a 2-1 victory at the Parc des Princes, extending the French side’s winless run to three matches.

The match began with a historic moment as PSG’s Warren Zaire-Emery, at 18, became the youngest player to start 15 Champions League games. He marked the occasion by opening the scoring in the 14th minute, cleverly chipping Jan Oblak after Ousmane Dembele capitalized on Clement Lenglet’s error.

Atletico’s response was swift, with Nahuel Molina equalizing four minutes later, firing past Gianluigi Donnarumma from close range following PSG’s failure to clear their lines.

The home side dominated possession throughout and created several chances in the second half, with Bradley Barcola and Achraf Hakimi forcing saves from Oblak.

However, it was Diego Simeone’s side who found the decisive goal, as substitute Correa struck in the third minute of added time with a low shot past Donnarumma.

The defeat leaves PSG in 25th place with four points from four games, while Atletico move two places above them on six points. PSG face a crucial away trip to Bayern Munich on matchday five, while Atletico will travel to Sparta Prague.
