Lewandowski’s double, coupled with goals from Pedri and Pablo Torre, ensured a dominant performance from the Catalan giants ahead of next weekend’s highly anticipated El Clasico clash against Real Madrid.

The Polish striker, who has now scored 12 goals in La Liga this season, opened the scoring with a penalty in the 24th minute before adding a second from close range just before halftime.

He nearly completed his hat-trick but was denied in a one-on-one situation with the Sevilla goalkeeper.

Pedri’s curling effort from outside the box further extended Barcelona’s lead, while Torre added two late goals to complete the rout. Sevilla’s only consolation came from a late strike by substitute Stanis Idumbo.

Gavi Returns from Injury

The victory was further sweetened by the return of midfielder Gavi, who made his comeback from a long-term knee injury as a late substitute.

“I had been dreaming about this moment for several months,” Gavi expressed. “It’s tough to watch from the outside. I have to enjoy every moment.”

Barcelona now turn their attention to the upcoming El Clasico showdown against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Both teams have Champions League fixtures midweek, with Madrid hosting Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona facing Bayern Munich.

“This was an important win considering the matches that we have ahead,” Pedri stated. “We had to leave with a good feeling and the three points.”
