Manchester City eased past struggling Cardiff City 2-0 to move back above Liverpool at the top of the English Premier League.
An eighth successive league victory at Etihad Stadium meant that the defending champions who are chasing an ambitious quadruple take a narrow edge over Jurgen Klopp’s side with six games remaining.

Cardiff, who remain five points adrift of relegation zone barely threatened at the other end. They failed to pose any challenge to the smooth going of City attack.
Guardiola was impressed with his players performance.
“I think everyone was at a high level. Of course Kevin we miss him, maybe results didn’t say that. He’s an important player for us. First 15 minutes there was incredible movement from him.” In the next match city will take on In-form Wolves in FA Cup semi final at Wembley Stadium..
