Manchester City Close to Signing Omar Marmoush in €80m Deal

Manchester City have taken a significant step toward securing Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush, with reports indicating a ‘full verbal agreement’ over personal terms.

The 25-year-old Egyptian striker has been in sensational form this season, scoring 18 goals, and is now City’s top target to bolster their attack. According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Marmoush is eager to join Pep Guardiola’s side immediately.

Frankfurt are expecting City’s first formal offer by the weekend, with the Premier League champions hoping to strike a deal worth £50 million. However, the Bundesliga side are reportedly holding out for €80 million (£67 million). Despite their strong Champions League qualification push, Frankfurt have shortlisted West Ham United striker Niclas Füllkrug as a potential replacement.

In addition to Marmoush, City are also in talks for defensive reinforcements, targeting Palmeiras’ Vitor Reis and Lens’ Abdukodir Khusanov.
