Lionel Messi continued his impressive preseason form with a goal and two assists as Inter Miami defeated Honduran side Club Olimpia Deportivo 5-0 in San Pedro Sula. The Argentine superstar orchestrated Inter Miami’s attack, showcasing his exceptional skills and vision in a dominant display.
Messi opened his account for the match in the 27th minute, adding to his goal in the preseason opener against Club America. He then turned provider, setting up Federico Redondo and Noah Allen with two precise assists before half-time.
Luis Suárez also got on the scoresheet, scoring his first goal of the preseason after being set up by Benjamin Cremaschi. Ryan Sailor added a fifth goal late in the match, assisted by Leo Afonso.
Messi has been in scintillating form throughout Inter Miami’s preseason campaign. He has been involved in several goals, showcasing his ability to create and score, and has played a key role in Inter Miami’s four consecutive victories.
