Manchester United legend Patrice Evra has announced his retirement from football.
The former France international, 38, enjoyed a trophy-laden career which spanned 20 years and eight clubs.
He joined United from Monaco in January 2006 and made 273 top-flight appearances for the club, scoring seven goals.
Evra was also a UEFA Champions League winner in 2007/08 and helped United claim the League Cup three times.
He moved to Juventus in 2014 before joining West Ham United four years later, where he made a further five Premier League appearances.
Evra is now looking to make the transition into coaching and hopes to fulfil a prediction made by his former boss at United, Sir Alex Ferguson.
He tweeted today: “Just would like to say a massive thanks to all the teams I played with, all my teammates, manager, the fans !!! the people working behind the scenes in every club all my opponents and of course for your unconditional love for me ”
