Arsenal see off Wolves to Regain Premier League Lead

Arsenal bounced back from a disappointing week with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux, sending them back to the top of the Premier League table.

The Gunners had suffered a setback in the title race with a loss to Aston Villa and then a midweek Champions League exit at the hands of Bayern Munich. However, Mikel Arteta’s side showed grit and determination to earn a vital win.

Leandro Trossard opened the scoring on the stroke of halftime, easing Arsenal’s nerves after a tense first period that saw Wolves threaten to take the lead. The Gunners controlled the second half but lacked a cutting edge until Martin Odegaard’s late strike sealed the victory.

“I really liked the performance, the result, the clean sheet,” said Gunners boss Arteta. “But especially the way the team has individually shown that they still have another step forward to make and resilience that is needed in these moments to step in and say ‘I’m here, I’m gonna make myself count and impact the team’
