Premier League clubs completed a busy deadline day with several major transfers confirmed before the 11pm BST deadline. Liverpool signed Lucca Brughmans from Genk for £30 million, while Newcastle brought in Matias Fernández-Pardo from Lille for £51.4 million.
Aston Villa also strengthened with Taylor Harwood-Bellis from Southampton for £29 million and Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain for £47 million. Crystal Palace, meanwhile, signed Honest Ahanor from Atalanta on loan.
There were also notable departures, with Arsenal sending Gabriel Jesus to Barcelona and Chelsea transferring Marc Guiu to RB Leipzig. Tottenham also allowed Pape Matar Sarr to join Juventus on loan with an obligation to buy.
