Former United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, who was recruited to work alongside Ten Hag in the off-season, has been appointed as interim manager, with the rest of the management staff remaining in place. United confirmed the decision in a statement, acknowledging Ten Hag’s contributions, including winning the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024, and extended their gratitude for his efforts.
