The upcoming Indian Super League ( ISL 2024-25) season promises to be thrilling, with several new rules being implemented. As the premier division of Indian football, managed by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and its commercial partner, Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), the ISL currently features 13 teams across the country.
Traditionally, the ISL only promoted clubs that won the I-League, allowing them to compete in the league, while ISL clubs themselves could qualify for Asian continental tournaments. The League Shield winners, for instance, secure direct entry into the AFC Champions League Group Stage. This season will also introduce the new ISL Nivea Shastra 2.0 ball. ISL 2024-25
