France Squad for World Cup 2026: Full List and Key Omissions

France Squad for World Cup 2026 | France have named their 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with no major surprises from outgoing head coach Didier Deschamps.

Deschamps, who steps down after this tournament, has stuck with familiar names. Kylian Mbappe is set to captain the side, which also includes current Ballon d’Or holder Ousmane Dembele.

Past World Cup winners Mbappe, Dembele, N’Golo Kante and Lucas Hernandez all feature in the squad.

Antoine Griezmann, who retired from international football after Euro 2024, has not reversed his decision. Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has also been left out.

France are in Group I alongside Senegal, Iraq and Norway. They open their campaign against Senegal on June 16.
