Tammy Abraham scored a wonderful hat-trick as Chelsea beat Wolves 5-2 on Saturday, with Fikayo Tomori also netting his first senior goal for the club.
Lampard made four changes to the team which drew against Sheffield United on its last outing and switched formation with Antonio Rudiger, Marcos Alonso and Willian in for their first starts of the season. Andreas Christensen returned in the centre of a back-three.
Chelsea soon looked more solid but for half-an-hour created very little. Wolves dominated the early possession without creating very much either and then a burst of three goals inside 10 towards the end of the first half punished their complacent defending.
The opener was conjured from a most unexpected source. Mount was tackled by Diogo Jota on the Chelsea right and there appeared to be little threat as the loose ball rolled in-field.
At least until Tomori strode forward and wrapped his right foot around it and produced a swerving shot which bamboozled Rui Patricio who somehow misjudged the flight and shuffled the wrong way along his line until he was in a position from which he was unable to recover.

The ball curled away from Patricio’s hopeless dive and the top corner and Tomori celebrated his first Chelsea goal.
The 21-year-old central defender started the move for the second, three minutes later, advancing with the ball and finding Mount, who jinked into the penalty area until his run was ended by a Jesus Vallejo.
Chelsea called for a penalty but Vallejo, making his Premier League debut in the absence of Willy Boly and Ryan Bennett, had won the ball. Unfortunately for Wolves, the Spaniard poked it straight to Abraham, who spun and buried a shot from six yards.
Again it was Abraham, his sixth in three games, leaping above Conor Coady to head an Alonso cross past Patricio and leave Molineux stunned on a day when the charismatic old venue was celebrating its 130th anniversary.
Gathering a pass from Jorginho, he drove Coady back into the penalty area, checked and went past the Wolves captain and finished with a low, clinical strike across Patricio into the far corner. As Tammy got his hat-trick early in the second half, before scoring an own goal at the other end later on.

Cutrone scored his first for the club to make it 4-2, forcing in a rebound after Kepa denied Doherty and Mount completed the scoring.
But Mason Mount (90+6) had the last word as he slotted home with the last kick of the game from Michy Batshuayi’s assist.
There is still no clean sheet for Lampard and Rudiger was forced off at half-time which will be a concern but this was his most convincing victory since taking charge at Stamford Bridge.
