Jude Bellingham marked his 50th goal for Real Madrid with an outstanding finish as José Mourinho’s side continued their winning run with a 3-0 victory away to Racing Santander.

The England midfielder produced one of the highlights of the evening in the 21st minute, collecting the ball around halfway before driving towards goal, lifting it over the advancing goalkeeper and finishing into an empty net.

It was a landmark moment for Bellingham, who has now scored 50 goals in 154 appearances for the Spanish club since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2023 for £88.5m. The 23-year-old has also contributed 37 assists during his time at the Bernabéu.

Real had taken the lead ten minutes earlier when Kylian Mbappé converted from the penalty spot. Matteo Prati was penalised for bringing down the French forward inside the area, allowing Mbappé to put the visitors ahead.

Yan Diomande added a third before the break, volleying home after Santander failed to clear a corner properly. Mbappé came close to extending the advantage after the interval, curling an effort against the post from the edge of the area.

Bellingham appeared to have scored again late on, but his composed finish was ruled out for offside. Santander also thought they had been awarded a penalty towards the end, only for VAR to overturn the decision after the ball had deflected off Aurélien Tchouaméni’s boot before striking his hand.

The victory extends Real’s winning run to five matches in all competitions and follows their 2-1 El Clásico triumph over Barcelona. Mourinho’s side are now three points behind their rivals at the top of La Liga.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was handed a rare start at right-back, but the former Liverpool defender has struggled to secure a regular place in the side. He has started only five of Real’s 14 matches this season, with Denzel Dumfries and Federico Valverde also featuring in the position.

For Bellingham, however, the evening belonged to a significant personal milestone as he continues to add to his contribution in Madrid.
