Liverpool are set to begin a new era under Andoni Iraola as the Reds prepare for the 2026-27 campaign with a five-match pre-season programme across the United States and England.
The Spaniard has taken over at Anfield ahead of the new season and will use the summer schedule to implement his playing style before Liverpool return to Premier League action. The Reds will spend the opening part of pre-season in the United States before returning to Merseyside for two home fixtures.
Liverpool’s tour got underway against Sunderland in Nashville on 25 July where the Reds won 4-2, before Iraola’s side travel to New York to face Wrexham. The American leg of the tour concludes in Chicago with a meeting against Premier League rivals Leeds United.
The Reds will then return to Anfield for their final preparations ahead of the new campaign. Ligue 1 side AS Monaco visit Merseyside on 9 August, before Serie A outfit Como provide the final pre-season opponents a week later.
Those fixtures will give Iraola the opportunity to integrate new signings, assess younger players and build match fitness before Liverpool begin their Premier League campaign away to Newcastle United on 23 August.

16 August: Liverpool vs Como โ Anfield (6pm BST)
Liverpool’s schedule offers a balanced mix of domestic and European opposition, with fixtures against Sunderland, Wrexham and Leeds United followed by tests against Monaco and Como before the competitive campaign gets underway.
