Liverpool climbed to the top of the Premier League table after a hard-fought 2-1 2-1 Comeback Win over Brighton at Anfield on Saturday. The win, coupled with Manchester City‘s surprising 2-1 loss to Bournemouth, propelled the Reds into first place.
Brighton struck first in the 14th minute as Ferdi Kadioglu’s precise shot deflected off the post and into the net. Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhรญn Kelleher later denied Georginio Rutter with a sharp save, keeping the score at 1-0 and preventing the Reds from falling further behind.
