Today, the 22-year-old French superstar Aurelien Tchouameni completed his medical and was officially presented at Real Madrid by the club president Florentino Perez. Perez welcomed Tchouameni and stated in his speech about the club’s mentality and fans that “Real Madrid never stop, never satisfied of winning. We and our fans always want more. We all want to go on and win the 15th UCL title.” He further quoted, “Today we’re welcoming one of the best midfielders in the world, Aurelien Tchouameni. Welcome to your new home Aurelien. You’ve chosen us over other clubs, and now you’ll feel the strength of the Bernabeu.” And a warm acknowledgement, “Aurelien, you will live experiences at Real Madrid that you will never forget. You will discover why this is the best club in the world. Welcome to your new home.”
In his official presentation, Tchouameni addressed, “Hello everyone, I’m very happy to be at the best club in the world and start a new chapter. I hope to win many titles with Real Madrid and make history. Hala Madrid”.
Further, during the press conference, he was asked about his first impression of rumours realising Real Madrid’s interest and PSG. He replied, “I was waiting for Real Madrid’s call, and when they called, I didn’t have any doubts – I talked to my family and agent to make the deal happen.” He admitted the interest from PSG and other clubs. He said about Mbappe trying to convince him to join PSG; however, he replied, “Madrid was always my first option, and he was happy for me.”
He also mentioned Real Madrid’s UCL comebacks this season, saying, “Madrid’s comebacks? I can tell you that in the Champions League final, there were already negotiations between Madrid and Monaco and when I watched those games, I told my agent that we have to do anything to sign for Real Madrid.” He talked about the qualities he will bring to this Real Madrid team and his competition with Casemiro for the DM position. He admitted his admiration for Casemiro, whom he is grown up watching, but he is here to write his chapter on Real Madrid’s history.
