Arsenal Prepare Record-Breaking Contract to Lure Vinicius Jr from Real Madrid

Arsenal are preparing an ambitious move for Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Junior, with the Premier League champions reportedly willing to make the Brazilian their highest-paid player in club history.

The Gunners are closely monitoring the 26-year-old’s contract situation at the Santiago Bernabéu as uncertainty continues over his long-term future. To convince the Brazil international to move to north London, Arsenal are reportedly prepared to offer a salary exceeding £400,000 per week, eclipsing the club-record contract currently held by Bukayo Saka. Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola has also been considered, although the French champions are reportedly demanding around £145 million, prompting Arsenal to continue exploring alternative options.

However, questions have persisted over how Vinicius and Kylian Mbappé can consistently operate together in Madrid’s attack, particularly after a disappointing campaign in which Los Blancos failed to win a major trophy.

Since Mbappé’s arrival from Paris Saint-Germain in 2024, Real Madrid have endured an unusually difficult period, going through three permanent managers while watching rivals Barcelona dominate Spanish football by winning five of the last six domestic trophies.

For now, Vinicius remains a Real Madrid player, with no direct talks yet held between the two clubs. However, Arsenal’s willingness to offer a record-breaking salary underlines the scale of their ambition as they explore what would be one of the most sensational transfers of the summer.
