Barcola Rejects New PSG Deal as Liverpool Push for Transfer

Liverpool are reportedly leading the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, with the French forward open to a move away from the club this summer.

According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barcola has decided not to sign a new contract with PSG. The 23-year-old is now open to exploring his options in the transfer market, with Liverpool currently showing the strongest interest in securing his signature.

Romano reports that Liverpool have been leading the race for Barcola since April and have made the winger a priority target. The Reds are now working on a potential deal, although they are waiting for PSG to provide further indications regarding the transfer fee and the conditions of a possible exit.

Barcola is reportedly open to joining Liverpool and would give priority to the Premier League club’s project if an agreement can be reached with PSG. However, the final decision could depend heavily on the French champions’ valuation of the player.

There have also been links between Barcola and Barcelona, but Romano has dismissed those reports, stating that there is currently no truth to the Catalan club links.

The situation could develop further in the coming weeks, with Liverpool waiting to discover PSG’s demands before deciding on their next steps. With Barcola not expected to renew his contract in Paris, the winger’s future has become one of the more interesting transfer stories of the summer.

For Liverpool, securing the France international would represent a major addition to their attacking options. However, with PSG yet to set out their asking price, negotiations could still have a long way to go before any agreement is reached.
