Juventus and Bologna played out a tight 1-1 draw in Serie A on Sunday, a result that keeps the race for the final Champions League spots incredibly close.

The top of the table sees Napoli leading with 77 points, followed by Inter Milan with 74 and Atalanta in third with 68. The battle intensifies for the fourth Champions League qualification place.

Juventus currently occupy fourth position with 63 points, but they are level with both AS Roma in fifth and Lazio in sixth. Bologna sit just one point behind in seventh, with only three matches remaining this season.

Khephren Thuram gave Juventus an early advantage in the ninth minute, finding space outside the box and drilling a low shot past Bologna goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski. Juventus had opportunities to extend their lead, with two goals ruled out for offside.

However, Bologna equalized nine minutes into the second half. Following a scramble in the box after a cross, Remo Freuler fired the ball into the net. The home side pushed for a winner late in the game, and Lewis Ferguson had a golden chance in the final moments but shot over the bar from inside the box.

In other Serie A action impacting the top-four race, Lazio secured a narrow 1-0 away win against Empoli thanks to a first-minute goal from Boulaye Dia. The match was fiery, with Lorenzo Colombo of Empoli and Elseid Hysaj of Lazio both receiving red cards.

Roma continued their impressive unbeaten league run, now at 19 matches, with a crucial 1-0 home victory over Fiorentina. Artem Dovbyk scored the decisive goal late in the first half.

These results leave four teams – Juventus, Roma, Lazio, and Bologna – separated by just one point as the Serie A season heads towards a dramatic conclusion in the fight for Champions League qualification.
