A controversial stoppage-time penalty, converted by Habib Diallo in the 101st minute, gave Damac a 1-0 victory over Al-Qadsiah in Friday’s Saudi Pro League clash. The late goal denied Al-Qadsiah a chance to close the gap on the league’s top two.
The defeat leaves Al-Qadsiah in fourth place with 51 points, level with third-placed Al-Nassr, who defeated Al-Kholood 3-1 later on Friday night but is behind on goal difference. Al-Qadsiah missed a crucial opportunity to put pressure on the teams above them.
