Man City close to Premier League title with narrow Burnley win
Manchester City returned to the top of the Premier League table as Sergio Aguero’s seconf half strike broke the resilience of Burnley at Turf Moor.
The Citizens knew only three points would suffice after title rivals Liverpool moved top routing Huddersfield Town 5-0 on Friday evening.
Pep Guardiola’s men started the game in their usual rythum from the onset, but Burney frustrated the visitors with stubborn defense.
Aguero put his relatively quiet first half behind when he broke the deadlock before the break with a curling effort soon after the hour mark.

The Argentine’s left-footed strike was deemed to have crossed the line by goal-line technology.
City went close to doubling their lead through Gabriel Jesus, who saw his effort cleared off the line with 15 minutes.

The defending champions held on in the closing stages to claim three vital points, which put them one point clear of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool with only two games left to play.
