Despite having organised the Asian Cup twice before, in 1988 and 2011, the official bid by Qatar to host the AFC Asian Cup 2027, the first football federation on the Asian continent to show an eagerness, confirms the aspirations of the State of Qatar to take advantage of its hosting of the 2022 World Cup.
This is especially true given the eight stadiums being prepared for the global tournament, a key factor in the proposal.
In this regard, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al Thani, president of the Qatari football federation, announced that Qatar had submitted it bid to host the AFC Asian Cup 2027, seeking to strengthen the best investment of the 2022 World Cup.
