Kerala Blasters FC are reportedly on the verge of completing a major ownership transition, with Magnum Sports understood to be exiting the club following the signing of an agreement with a new group of investors.
According to reports, the agreement was signed in Hyderabad on Wednesday, marking a significant step towards the completion of the takeover. An official announcement is expected once the first tranche of the agreed payment is credited.
The development could usher in a new era for the Indian Super League club, with the ownership change expected to be finalised in the coming days, subject to the completion of the financial formalities.
Despite the impending change at the ownership level, Kerala Blasters are expected to retain continuity in football operations. Club CEO Abhik Chatterjee is reportedly set to oversee the team’s operations for the 2026-27 season, ensuring preparations continue smoothly ahead of the new campaign.
While the identities of the incoming investors have not yet been officially disclosed, the agreement reportedly signals the end of Magnum Sports’ association with the Kochi-based club.
Kerala Blasters have not yet made an official statement regarding the reported takeover. More details, including the identity of the new investors and the structure of the deal, are expected once the transaction is formally completed.
