Mo Salah’s Daughter, Makkah, to Make TV Debut
Makkah Salah, Liverpool star Mo Salah’s Daughter , will make her television debut in the upcoming season of the popular Egyptian series “Kamel El Adad,” director Khaled El Halafawy has confirmed. The show, returning for its third season this Ramadan, stars Dina El-Sherbini and Sherif Salama.
El Halafawy, speaking to Egyptian channel ON TV, stated, “Part three of the series will introduce new stars, with a special appearance by Makkah Mohamed Salah.” The series follows the lives of Layla (El-Sherbini), a cosmetics industry worker, and her husband Ahmed Mokhtar (Salama), a cosmetic surgeon, as they navigate the challenges of raising eight children.
Makkah, born in London in 2014, and the Salah family are reportedly fans of the show. Details regarding her specific role in the series are currently being kept confidential.
El Halafawy admitted to initial concerns about Makkah’s acting ability and Arabic proficiency but expressed his pleasant surprise. “I was worried about her acting ability and whether she could speak proper Arabic, but the girl surprised me. She’s very smart and speaks good Arabic,” he said. He also joked about his initial hopes for Mohamed Salah himself to appear: “I was dreaming of Salah’s participation, but it’s good to have Makkah with us.”
Mohamed Salah and his wife, Magi, also have another daughter, Kayan, born in 2020.
The news of Mo Salah’s Daughter ‘s television debut comes as her father, 32, enjoys a stellar season with Liverpool. The club is currently leading the English Premier League, is in the League Cup final, and is considered a strong contender in the Champions League. Salah recently scored his 25th league goal of the season in a 2-0 victory over Manchester City.
