Ronaldo sets another record: Portugal wins a thriller against Ghana

Stadium 974 witnessed a thrilling match, in which Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal beat ghana with a score of 3-2. The first half of the match was goalless as both teams got some chances, but couldn’t convert them into goals. In the 62nd minute of the game, Ronaldo was brought down by Ghana Defender Salisu in the penalty area and the referee awarded a penalty to Portugal.

Ronaldo finished it off in a style and he got a new record as the first-ever player to score in five world cups. Also, he is the first player to score a penalty in three different world cups.

In the 73rd minute, Kudus makes a great run behind the Portugal defence down inside the left channel. He puts a low cross to Ayew and Ayew converts it from close range for an equaliser. 1-1 on the scorecard. Ayew’s anticipation paid off with an equaliser.

In the 78th minute again, Bruno beat Ghana’s defence and puts a through pass right to Joao Felix and he scored a goal granting Portugal a lead again. In the 80th minute, the super-sub Rafael Leao Converted the pass from Bruno into a super goal to double the lead for Portugal.

Rafael Leao came off the bench to score the third for Portugal.

In the 89th minute, Rahman runs down the left flank and gets the better of Cancelo before he lifts a cross to the back post. It takes a deflection to reach Bukari and he makes no mistake with a perfect header to beat Costa. It’s 3-2, What a goal from Bukari. The match became more intense but after that ghana couldn’t score any more goals and the end result was favourable to Portugal. What a match it was. Ghana showed a masterclass performance giving Portugal a tight match.
