Another penalty takes Man Utd to Europa League semis

98

Manchester United needed an extra time penalty to get past Copenhagen and progress to the Europa league semifinals.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side had a first half goal disallowed for offside, as Mason Greenwood just edged past the last defender.

But they really should have been through emphatically as they hit the woodwork eight times over the 90 minutes.

United broke the deadlock as Anthony Martial was taken down inside the area and Bruno Fernandes slotted home the resulting penalty after just four minutes into the extra time.

The Red Devils will possibly meet premier league rivals Wolves in the semifinals.
