Henrik Larsson returns to Barcelona as Koeman’s assistant
Celtic legend Henrik Larsson and Barcelona FC are reunited as the Swede has returned with the club to take the role of assistant coach under newly appointed head coach Ronald Koeman until June 30, 2022.
Larsson is held in high regard by the Barcelona supporters since making a good impression during his time at the club as a player across the 2004/05 and 2005/06 seasons.

The former striker made 59 appearances for the club, scoring 19 goals, and has been credited by many as the decisive player in their 2006 Champions League triumph.
The Swede has worked alongside Koeman in the past, having played 69 times together at Feyenoord between 1995 and 1997.
Alfred Schreuder has also joined Koeman’s staff. Schreuder was coach at Hoffenheim last season and had previously served as Erik ten Hag’s assistant at Ajax.
