Lukaku: “Conte is the best manager in the world”
Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku has hinted at a move to Inter Milan by labelling Antonio Conte the ‘best manager in the world’.
The Belgian has been told he’s free to leave Old Trafford this summer after being displaced by Marcus Rashford last season.
The 26-year-old has made no secret of his desire to move to Italy and new Inter Milan boss Conte is believed to have made Lukaku his number one priority at the San Siro this summer.
Lukaku admitted after Belgium’s 3-0 win against Scotland that he would speak to United about his future but fresh comments have moved a transfer to Inter further down the line.
”It’s a good thing that Conte went to Inter, for me he’s the best manager in the world. Regarding my future, I know it will be a long and busy summer, I have to wait until United but I already made my decision that I can’t communicate publicly out of respect for the contract I have with the Red Devils” he said.

Lukaku went on:”I was on verge of joining Juventus in the past, but I sensed something was wrong. Two days later Conte left. Thank God I didn’t go. I’m a big fan of Serie A, those close to me know that I want to play in English and Italian league, I love Italy. Now Cristiano Ronaldo arrived, Sarri will go to Juventus, and Ancelotti is at Napoli: it will be an exciting Serie A”.
