Omar Marmoush, the Egyptian forward attracting strong interest from Manchester City, added another goal to his impressive tally this season. The Eintracht Frankfurt star opened the scoring in their Bundesliga clash against St. Pauli, firing a powerful shot into the back of the net to give his side the lead.

This latest strike takes Marmoush’s league tally to 14 goals and eight assists, placing him second in goal involvements across Europe’s top five leagues, behind only Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

Marmoush’s prolific form has made him a prime target for Manchester City, who are reportedly keen to bolster their attacking options. According to Sky Sport Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, talks between Manchester City and Eintracht Frankfurt over a potential January transfer will continue after the conclusion of today’s game.

Marmoush’s Breakout Season

The 25-year-old is enjoying a breakout season, having established himself as a key player for Eintracht Frankfurt. His goalscoring exploits have helped propel the team to third place in the Bundesliga standings.

Marmoush’s performances have not gone unnoticed, with several top clubs reportedly monitoring his progress. However, Manchester City appear to be leading the race for his signature.

Potential Move to Manchester

Should Marmoush complete a move to Manchester City, he would provide Pep Guardiola with another attacking option alongside Erling Haaland. His versatility and ability to play across the front line would add further depth and quality to City’s already formidable attack.

While talks are ongoing, it remains to be seen whether Manchester City will be able to agree a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt before the January transfer window closes. The German club are reportedly demanding a significant fee for their prized asset.

However, Marmoush’s continued goalscoring form is only likely to increase his value and strengthen his case for a move to one of Europe’s elite clubs.
