The former Arsenal man wrote on his social media hours before Germany crashed out of the tournament thanks to their lackluster performance in the first two matches.
Ozil quit Germany team in 2018 citing racism and discrimination as he was singled out for criticism after the reigning championsโ World Cup debacle in Russia.
His powerful statement โIโm a German when we win, but Iโm an immigrant when we loseโ is still resonated as the Qatari fans recently staged a counter protest Germany holding Ozilโs placards.

Germany players had lodged their protest over the “One Love” armband by covering their mouths with hands during a team photo ahead of their first group match against Japan.
