Neymar Warns Brazil Teammates About Mbappe
Neymar has reportedly sent a warning to his Brazil colleagues at Real Madrid regarding Kylian Mbappe.Mbappe and Neymar were team-mates at Paris Saint-Germain from 2017 to 2023.During that time they played 136 games together and won four Ligue 1 titles.Neymar Warns Brazil Teammates About Mbappe
The duo has not shared a memorable bond over the years, as several reports came out of rift between them during their time at Paris St Germain (club in the French league – Ligue 1). Over a period of six years, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar played together merely 136 times, and combined for 54 goal contributions. The duo never played to their ‘tipped’ potential and thus, failed to deliver the coveted UEFA Champions League in Paris.
The pair formed part of an attacking trio with Lionel Messi for two seasons but Neymar reportedly doesn’t have fond memories of playing with Mbappe.Mbappe left PSG this summer to join Real Madrid and has already scored four goals in six games for his new club.However, Neymar, who is now at Al-Hilal, has reportedly warned Real Madrid’s Brazilian players about what playing Mbappe is like.
Journalist Cyril Hanouna stated that Neymar contacted the Brazilian players at Real Madrid to tell them about Mbappe.Speaking on Europe 1, Hanouna said: ‘The Brazilians [at Real Madrid] are friends with Neymar. It has always been a war between Neymar and Mbappe. Neymar has sent a paper about Mbappe to the Brazilians, telling them that it was catastrophic, that it was hell.’
There is a strong contingent of Brazilian players at Real Madrid, including Eder Militao, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Endrick.Real are currently in third place in LaLiga having taken eleven points from their first five games.Vinicius Junior and Mbappe found the net in a 2-0 win away to Real Sociedad at the weekend, with the latter scoring a penalty.Neymar, meanwhile, is currently out with a cruciate ligament injury that has kept him sidelined since last year but he is closing in on a return to action.
