UEFA Nations League Matchday 2 Round-Up

France 2-0 Belgium
France got their UEFA Nations League campaign back on track with a 2-0 victory over Belgium in Lyon. After a disappointing loss to Italy, Didier Deschamps’ side overcame a determined Belgian team. Ousmane Dembélé’s initial effort was parried by Koen Casteels, only for Randal Kolo Muani to convert the rebound, putting France ahead in the first half. Dembélé then sealed the win in the second half with a powerful shot, lifting France level with Belgium in Group A2.
Israel 1-2 Italy
Italy continued their perfect start to the tournament with a 2-1 win over Israel in Budapest. Despite Israel’s promising start, including a near miss by Manor Solomon, Italy struck first with Davide Frattesi chipping Federico Dimarco’s cross into the net. Moise Kean doubled Italy’s lead after capitalizing on a saved shot, but a late volley by Mohammad Abu Fani kept Israel in the game.
