Bundesliga sensation Erling Braut Haaland continued his goal scoring routine by netting his 12th goal in eight games as Borussia Dortmund beat Werder Bremen to stay in the Bundesliga title race.

The Norwegian youngster fired in from Achraf Hakimi’s cut-back after 66 minutes to put the game beyond struggling Werder.

Dan-Axel Zagadou had converted from Jadon Sancho’s 52nd-minute corner to open the scoring at the Weserstadion.

Dortmund are four points behind leaders Bayern Munich, who scored late to beat bottom side Pederborn on Friday.

Haaland, 19, who joined BvB from Red Bull Salzburg in December, scored a brace against favourites PSG on Tuesday as Dortmund recorded a 2-1 first-leg advantage against the French champions.

Saturday’s Bundesliga strike takes the Norway striker’s tally for the season to 40 goals in 30 appearances.
