Kerala Blasters secured their first win of the ISL 2024-25 season with a thrilling 2-1 victory over East Bengal at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Sunday. The dramatic encounter saw late heroics from substitute Kwame Peprah, whose 88th-minute goal clinched the match for the home side.

The game kicked off with both teams creating early chances but struggling to find the back of the net. The first half ended goalless, despite blasters coming close when Jesus Jimenez’s shot hit the post.

East Bengal broke the deadlock in the 59th minute when Diamantakos set up Vishnu, who tapped the ball into the net, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead. However, Kerala Blasters quickly responded just four minutes later. Noah Sadaoui weaved through the defense on the left flank, sending Rakip the wrong way before firing a powerful shot past the goalkeeper to make it 1-1.
