Gittens’ star turn came in Dortmund’s opening Champions League fixture against Club Brugge. With his team struggling to break the deadlock, Gittens was introduced as a substitute in the 68th minute. He immediately made an impact, scoring two crucial goals to propel Dortmund to a comfortable 3-0 victory.
