Yamal Stars as Barcelona Rout Betis in Copa del Rey

Barcelona continued their impressive form with a resounding 5-1 victory over Real Betis in the Copa del Rey, securing their place in the quarter-finals. Teenage sensation Lamine Yamal was the star of the show, scoring one goal and providing two assists in a dazzling display.

Fresh from their 5-2 triumph over Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final, Barcelona showed no signs of slowing down. Despite resting several key players, including Robert Lewandowski, Marc Casadó, and Alejandro Balde, they dominated proceedings from the start.

Gavi opened the scoring in the third minute, finishing off a flowing move with a low strike from Dani Olmo’s assist. Jules Koundé then doubled Barcelona’s lead with a volley from close range after a superb lobbed pass by Yamal.

Raphinha added a third goal in the second half, finishing off a counter-attack initiated by Yamal. Substitute Ferran Torres then got in on the act, scoring from an Olmo cross. Yamal capped off a brilliant performance with a goal of his own, finishing off another swift counter-attack.

Vitor Roque, on loan from Barcelona, scored a late consolation goal for Betis from the penalty spot.
