Delhi Capitals successfully chased down the target of 164 runs with 6 wickets in hand and 14 balls to spare.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru, RCB after winning the toss and electing to bat first, struggled to build substantial partnerships despite a quickfire start in the powerplay. They managed to reach 163 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs, thanks to a late surge from Tim David who scored an unbeaten 37 off 20 balls. However, the Delhi Capitals’ bowlers, particularly the spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraj Nigam, put a brake on the scoring in the middle overs, restricting RCB’s momentum.
Chasing a moderate total, Delhi Capitals lost a few early wickets, putting pressure on their middle order. However, a resilient partnership between the experienced KL Rahul and the explosive Tristan Stubbs anchored the innings and steered their team towards victory.
